Connect Producer Pad to OBS Studio in under 5 minutes

Enable OBS WebSocket Server
OBS Studio 28 and later includes WebSocket support built-in. You just need to enable it.
Steps:
- 1.Open OBS Studio
- 2.Go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings
- 3.Check "Enable WebSocket server"
- 4.Optionally, set a password for security
- 5.Click Apply
Tip: The default port is 4455. Only change it if you have a conflict with another application.

Download Producer Pad
Get Producer Pad from the App Store on your iPad or iPhone.
Download on App StoreRequires iOS 18.0 or later. Works on iPad and iPhone.

Connect to OBS
There are two ways to connect: QR code (fastest) or manual entry.
Option A: QR Code
- 1. In OBS, go to Tools → WebSocket Server Settings
- 2. Click "Show Connect Info"
- 3. A QR code will appear
- 4. In Producer Pad, go to Settings → OBS Connection
- 5. Tap "Scan QR Code"
- 6. Point your camera at the QR code
Option B: Manual
- 1. Find your computer's IP address
- 2. In Producer Pad, go to Settings → OBS Connection
- 3. Tap "Add Profile"
- 4. Enter the IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.100)
- 5. Enter port (default: 4455)
- 6. Enter password if you set one
Important: Your iPad/iPhone and computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Start Controlling OBS!
Once connected, you'll see your OBS scenes, sources, and controls. You can now:
- ✓Switch between scenes
- ✓Adjust audio levels and mute sources
- ✓Start/stop streaming and recording
- ✓Toggle source visibility
- ✓Edit text sources

Troubleshooting
Can't connect?
- • Make sure OBS is running and WebSocket is enabled
- • Verify both devices are on the same network
- • Check your firewall isn't blocking port 4455
- • Try restarting OBS and the app
Connection drops frequently?
- • Use 5GHz Wi-Fi if available (faster, less interference)
- • Move closer to your router
- • Reduce the monitor refresh rate in Settings
Wrong password error?
- • Double-check the password in OBS WebSocket settings
- • Passwords are case-sensitive
- • Try removing and re-adding the connection profile
